a perfect autumn day

20150918_1554I decided to take a complete day off studying the other day and just do nice things all day. It was great, and turned out to be one of the most relaxing days in a long time.

First of all, me and my mother went to get some honey from some local bees! Okay, we didn’t actually get it from the bees themselves, but from the person who has the bees. I’m not friends with any bees, sadly. The honey was SO DELICIOUS. Bees are the best. Seriously, they’re so cute and fluffy and if you ever hate on a bee believing it’s a wasp I will disown you. I’m not kidding.

That wasn’t all I did though, as I also got into this creative flow and just sat in my room making stuff all night, which is one of my favourite things. Man, it was just the best day. Nothing beats a nice creative flow.

Well, some things might. One thing that might is the pie I made earlier that day! (I’m being modest again.) I finally got to take advantage of the fact that we have a proper garden now, and made an apple pie from our own apples! Totally amazing. You’re all jelly, admit it.

We have somewhere around four apple trees and they’re all ripe at different times, but right now it’s time for this little fellow. He’s the chosen one.a perfect autumn day » Jessica AndersdotterAnd he gave me some nice apples. I found the perfect apple picking basket, isn’t it cute? I love baskets. I also had to wait for the right moment to take a picture of my basket as the wind kept blowing my skirt all over the place, but it was okay since it was like ultimate autumn to have the wind tugging at your skirt when trying to take a picture of the apples you just picked. I was even okay with the fact that an apple fell ON ME which is very rude but like I’ll forgive you this time, autumn. It’s all too perfect to be mad at you, and you gave me delicious apples. a perfect autumn day » Jessica AndersdotterI filled my basket and went back inside. a perfect autumn day » Jessica Andersdottera perfect autumn day » Jessica AndersdotterI started slicin’ them apples, and then mixed them with some of the honey, some cinnamon and some regular sugar.a perfect autumn day » Jessica AndersdotterI mean just look at that honey! And then a while later the pie was done! It wasn’t very pretty so I had to put some apple slices on it to make it pretty. Hehe. The art of blogging. 20150918_1679Anyway, we sat down in our almost finished living room and had some pie. It looks kinda done here but this picture just shows the part where we’ve already wallpapered so it’s not really the truth. I’M A LIAR. Soz. a perfect autumn day » Jessica AndersdotterI can only really tell you one thing about it – it was delicious. Okay I can tell you a couple of more things, like how the apples were the perfect apples for pie, how they had the perfect consistency and how the pie thingy on top that I don’t know the name of turned out great. Best pie ever. I’m kinda sad I don’t have any right now. I might just go make more pie.

So that was my perfect autumn day. It really is September now and properly autumn. Well, it’s not 100% autumn yet as a lot of the leaves are still green, but I have started wearing socks to bed so I think it counts. (I know, it’s insane, but my feet get cold.)

What are you excited about for this autumn?
