Erica Coburn and her dreamy photographs and soothing light

I keep finding new and amazing artists recently. THERE ARE JUST SO MANY GREAT ONES OUT THERE.

My latest favourite is Irish photographer Erica Coburn. There is just such an intense dreaminess in her images. And the liiiiiiiiight. Ahh. It soothes me. Let’s take a look! There’s something about all of Erica’s work that makes me think of spring. Might just be because it’s spring right now. There’s warmth and safety and the smell of grass.   The colour palette is soft and natural but still out of this world, and it’s just so hard to describe!
Basically it’s all so soft and pretty and I just can’t take it.

golden twig necklace / monthly makers: wood

I’ve had such a hard time with this theme for Monthly Makers. It really didn’t suit me and the way my life is right now (which is pretty bad, tbh). My first plan was to weave something with twigs in it. And so I did. And it didn’t turn out great. In a weak moment I decided I’d make it a little bit different with some golden paint on the actual weaved bits, but like haha. Bad idea. It kinda just looked like someone had an uh… accident on it. Gj me. Great idea. Anyway, I went into the garden to get some new twigs and started working on my final result – a necklace made of golden twigs!  I made the lock part out of some wire that I made into a hook and a loop. And I used both wire and glue to make it stick together. And yeah, that’s it! Monthly Makers  is a challenge for anyone who wants to be more creative or create more.
